Madeline Trimble was born on March 15th, 1989 in Urbana, Illinois, USA. In 2011 she graduated summa cum laude from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Science degree from the Lumpkin College of Business & Applied Sciences. She completed her degree with a major in Accountancy and a minor in Finance as well as with both university and departmental honors distinctions. Her undergraduate honors dissertation focused on “The Asymmetric Market Valuation of Special Items and Accounting Conservatism.” Madeline was awarded a Presidential Scholarship from EIU in 2007 and the Accounting Advisory Board-Graduate Scholarship upon completion of her degree. She also completed two summer study abroad experiences in Europe (2010 Business Study Abroad: European Union - Maastricht, Netherlands) and Asia (2011 University of International Business & Economics  -Beijing, China). Her current research interests include the adoption and compliance of IFRS in developing countries.
